Kitchen Respray – Farrow & Ball Pigeon & Dimity

Our client in Hartford, Cheshire, wanted to refresh their kitchen with a complementary colour scheme that would enhance its classic cabinetry. A professional kitchen respray brought a fresh look to the space while retaining its distinctive shaker detailing and curved island.

The island was finished in Pigeon by Farrow & Ball, creating a muted green focal point at the centre of the kitchen. Dimity by Farrow & Ball was chosen for the surrounding cabinetry, bringing a soft, warm contrast that works beautifully with the pale worktops and wood-toned flooring.

We carried out a full professional kitchen respray in Hartford, carefully preparing the cabinetry and applying a consistent finish across doors, drawer fronts, frames, and curved panels. The completed kitchen also features polished knobs and cup handles that complement its traditional styling.

Our Process:

• Thorough cleaning, degreasing, sanding, and preparation of the cabinetry

• Removal of doors, drawer fronts, and handles for preparation and spraying

• Careful masking of cabinet interiors, worktops, appliances, floors, and surrounding areas

• Application of specialist primer for adhesion and durability

• Professional spray application in Pigeon by Farrow & Ball on the island

• Professional spray application in Dimity by Farrow & Ball on the surrounding kitchen cabinetry

• Reassembly, final checks, and clean-down

Result:

The combination of Pigeon and Dimity gives this Hartford kitchen a balanced, timeless look. The green island adds character and definition, while the lighter surrounding cabinetry keeps the space feeling bright and welcoming. The finish highlights the kitchen’s curved corners and shaker panels, creating a refined transformation that makes the most of the existing design.
